The creator media kit that actually lands brand deals

When a brand asks for your media kit, they are not testing your design skills. They are asking one question, "can I picture this person selling my product to the right people?", and they want the answer in about thirty seconds. Most creators answer it with a folder of screenshots and a Canva PDF from six months ago. You can do far better with far less.

What a brand is really buying

Three things, in this order: attention (will enough of the right people see this), fit (does your audience look like their customer), and reliability (will this be professional and on time). A media kit that answers those three, quickly and honestly, does more than any amount of polish.

The seven things that belong in it

  • Who you are, in one line. Your name, your niche, and the one thing you are known for. Not a paragraph.
  • Real, current numbers, views first. Average views matter more than follower count now, because views are the reach a brand actually buys. Show followers, average views and engagement, and make sure they are this month's, not last year's.
  • Your audience. Rough age, gender split, and top cities or countries. A brand selling in Tier 1 India wants to know if your audience lives there.
  • Your best work. Two to four pieces, ideally ones with a result you can point to. Quality over a wall of thumbnails.
  • Brands you have worked with. Names or logos, told honestly. Even two real collabs signal you are safe to hire.
  • A rate or a starting band. You do not have to publish a fixed price, but a band tells a brand whether you are in their budget before a long back-and-forth.
  • How to reach you, and the next step. One clear way to get in touch, and one clear invitation to do it.

What to leave out

Vanity metrics with no bearing on a campaign. Numbers you cannot defend if a brand asks how you got them. Long paragraphs about your journey. And above all, anything invented: a brand that catches one inflated figure stops trusting all of them, and the deal is gone.

Why a live link beats a PDF

A PDF is out of date the moment your next reel goes up. Your views this month are your best argument, and a static file cannot show them. A link that pulls your current numbers is both more honest and more persuasive, because the brand is looking at reality, not a snapshot you chose. It is also far easier to send: one URL that works in a DM, an email, or a WhatsApp, and never arrives as a 12MB attachment.

Make it easy to say yes

The best media kit removes reasons to hesitate. Current numbers remove the "are these real?" doubt. A visible band removes the "can we even afford them?" doubt. A clear next step removes the "how do we start?" friction. Every doubt you answer on the page is one fewer email between you and a booked deal.

Build it in this order

If you are staring at a blank page, work top to bottom the way a brand reads: your name and niche first, then your current numbers, then who your audience is, then two or three pieces of your best work, then the brands you have worked with, then a rate band, then how to reach you. That order answers the brand's three questions, attention, fit and reliability, in the sequence they actually ask them, so by the time they reach your rates they are already convinced rather than sceptical.

The mistakes that quietly kill a kit

  • Follower count on top, views buried. Lead with the number a brand actually buys, which today is views.
  • Screenshots instead of live numbers. A dashboard grab from last season signals you have not posted seriously since.
  • No price signal at all. With no rate and no band, every conversation starts with a long back-and-forth just to learn if you are in budget.
  • A 12MB PDF. It will not open cleanly on a phone in a DM, which is exactly where most of these conversations happen.

One kit, kept current, beats five versions

You do not need a different kit for every brand. You need one honest page you keep current and can tailor with a single opening line in the message itself. The creators who land the most deals are rarely the ones with the fanciest design; they are the ones whose numbers are real, recent and easy to check. A brand that can verify your reach in ten seconds is a brand that can say yes in a day, and when your numbers grow you update one place, not five stale files scattered across old emails.

The Creator Kamai media kit gives you all of this as one public, themeable link. It carries your live YouTube numbers so your stats are never stale, holds your cover, portrait and best thumbnails, and can show a rate band drawn from your own real views rather than a guess. One link that does the bragging for you, and only ever with numbers you can stand behind.

Run the business side in one calm place.
